A graduate of the Micro Sprint ranks, Clute, Texas racer Aaron Reutzel is quickly evolving into one of the nation’s elite Sprint Car drivers. And, the $60,000 Lucas Oil ASCS National Championship is the primary objective in 2015 as the ARR team mixes in some 410-ci action as well along the way.
Aaron displayed his Sprint Car racing prowess in short order by capturing the ASCS Gulf South Regional championship in his first full year of Sprint Car racing in 2009.
Since earning Rookie of the Year honors with the ASCS National Tour in 2011, Aaron has further honed his skills behind the wheel and is now poised to challenge for the top rung of the ladder after a breakout year in 2014 that included nine overall wins.
Among Aaron’s 2014 triumphs were his initial four ASCS National Tour victories, the first of which came at Little Rock’s I-30 Speedway where he later posted a runner-up finish in the prestigious Short Track Nationals.
After finishing off the 2014 season with his first victory in non-wing Sprint Car action, Aaron dropped a 410-ci engine in for the first time to kick off 2015 and found instant success with a win in Winter Heat Sprint Car Showdown action at Yuma, Arizona’s Cocopah Speedway.
Now, Aaron and crew will try to win as many battles along the way as possible with a loftier goal of winning the war that is the Lucas Oil ASCS National championship.
